Have you ever wanted to try out needle felting for yourself? Here's the perfect opportunity! This DIY felting kit comes with all the materials you need to create your very own pocket-sized Figment Familiar. These tiny companions make wonderful desk buddies, bookshelf guardians, or traveling friends - and now you can make one of your own! Finished Figments are between 2 and 4 inches tall, depending on the chosen animal.

I've worked hard to provide clear and easy-to-understand direction in a fully illustrated instruction booklet. While not recommended for children under age 8, no prior felting experience is required. This kit is designed for beginner to intermediate felters. I provide materials of the same quality that I use in my own work - and I'm very particular about my wool! The core wool in this kit is the same 100% cheviot roving I use, and the surface colors are 100% targhee fiber hand dyed by me specifically for this kit. Targhee is an American rare breed of sheep known for its soft fiber. It feels similar to merino and other luxury wools, but felts more easily due to its strong crimp and fluffy texture. All of my colors are hand-dyed in small batches using Jacquard acid dyes and have been thoroughly washed to ensure that no color will rub off onto your hands.

Your kit will include everything needed to make one raccoon:

-Fully illustrated instruction booklet
-Templates for sizing and cutting all the parts needed
-Pre-cut face piece
-Sheet felt
-10g of core wool
-5g of surface wool in your choice of color
-Accent wool for markings and eyes

The kit shown contains "Dreamberry Wine" as the primary color, and the finished example is done in "Pumpkin King." You can choose any of the available colors for your kit! All kits include a white face and white accent wool, along with a small pinch of a randomly selected color for the eyes. Please note that I have tried to photograph all colors as clearly as possible, but there may be some variation depending on your monitor settings.

This kit does NOT include tools - you will need to provide felting needles, a foam pad, a piece of matboard or a cutting mat, fabric scissors, and straight pins. You will also need to provide your own Heart if you choose to add one. The kit includes only the items shown in the last photo and described above.
