What is a Dream Snake?

Dream Snakes are cunning little friends who love to sleep near your pillow and snack on any bad dreams that might be coming your way. They use their feathered bodies to swim through the air at night, snapping up all those nasty nightmares. You couldn't ask for a better companion!

This Dream Snake features my new style head, which is 3D printed in resin and features a third eye.

From tip to tail, Dream Snake No. 34 measures roughly 34 inches, but the pose only takes up a 12x9inch space.

This is a one of a kind mixed media art doll, created with a 3D printed resin face and needle felted wool body. Needle felting is a technique that uses a special barbed needle to pack loose wool fibers together to create free-form, sculptural works. The surface is soft, but the body itself is much firmer than a plush doll. Many hours of work and lots of love go into each of my creatures.

The body has a wire armature inside, which makes it both durable and lightly poseable. It cannot hold a raised up striking pose long term without support. The overall body position cannot be altered, but small adjustments to the head and tail are possible. The face is hand painted, and the body is created entirely from colored wool with 100% wool felt for the feathers.

All work is completed in a smoke-free home using natural fibers.
