Drop spindles are the oldest spinning tools we know - and they’re still fun and easy to use for making your own yarn! These laser etched wooden drop spindles make a sturdy beginner’s spindle or a nice mid-weight traveling tool for the more experienced.

There are several different laser etched designs available, just choose the one you want from the drop down! This listing is for a single spindle. Please note that the depth and darkness of the etching may vary slightly.

Measuring 12” long and 3” wide, these spindles weight 2.25oz each and feature a top whorl design with a sturdy brass hook and a shallow notch to hold your yarn steady. Each one is given a treatment with Howard Feed and Wax, but are not otherwise stained or sealed. They come with leaders made from my own hand-spun yarn already installed, so just grab some fiber and you’re ready to spin!
